Description A .577 British Army Snider-Enfield rifle. 55.1/2in., barrel 38.1/2in., Fullstocked, lock-plate with Crown over “V R” and “1858 ENFIELD”, regulation brass mounts. There is British Army markings all over this gun and it appears to be British Army through and through and, not to have come from a Burmese, Nepalese, Thai or other foreign arsenal. The steel barrel, lockplate, etc to a shiny steel finish with “old” rust blotches/ discolouration in places throughout. The bore is good, the stock has an “ENFIELD” roundel to one side and a number of knocks and dingsfroarmy life. A small sliver of wood at the butt end has been glued back in at some point. Age wear commensurate with age and generally in good overall condition.
