Description Victorian Needlework Cane. Overall length approx., 33. 3/4 in. The attractive mid-brown wooden cane body with a dark patinated steel tip to the bottom. A copper (ormerly silver plated?) band approx. 2in from the top of the cane is where it unscrews to reveal the internal wood, horn and silver plated spool/ bobbin, alas unnamed. The hollow wooden top with an aperture through which thread would once have pertruded. This top of a differet contrasting wood to the rest of the cane.
