2 clasp egypt medal with Alexandria 11th July & suakin 1884 clasps named to w bushell ab hms hecla . William George bushell was born 3rd July 1852 at Alverstoke in Hampshire. He joined 3rd July 1870 as a boy class 1 . On 1871 census he was boy class 1 onboard hms barrosa in Singapore straights. Served on hms hecla 1880 to 1885 during which he served in the egypt campaign . 1884 he was in bodmin gaol charged with desertion / straggling.
