1882 dated egypt medal with tel el kebir clasp named 4265 pte j grindrod 2 cdm gds ( some bruising and ek as common). 1882 dated khedives star unnamed as issued. Joseph was born c1858 at Castleton, Rochdale, Lancaster a labourer by occupation he enlisted 22nd January 1878 .. He served until January 1890 a total of 12 years . Egypt on replacement ribbon, kedeives on short original ribbon.
