WW1 US 1917 dated Remington sword bayonet and leather scabbard

Description WW1 US 1917 dated Remington sword bayonet and leather scabbard. Overall length approx. 22.1/2in, blade length approx. 17in. Blade stamped 1917 Remington on one side of the blade and US and with a flaming grenade and "28" beneath on the opposite side. Blade double fullered, single edged and to a dull grey finish with surface staining throughout. Muzzle-ring, pommel etc also to a dull grey finish with some pitting in places. The two piece wooden grips are in good condition as is the dark green leather scabbard and frog. Whole in good overall condition commensurate with age.
