Vouvray Petillant Brut, Domaine Vigneau-Chevreau, Loire, France

Description The Vigneau-Chevreau family have been producing Vouvray on their 30ha, limestone & selix soil estate in Chancay since 1875. In more recent times the estate has been certified as Organic and then Biodynamic adding to the quality of their wines. The Petillant Brut is bottled at a lower pressure of 3 or so atmospheres and has the most wonderful texture as well as flavours. The result is a wonderful, off dry, lightly sparkling Vouvray which has wonderful flavours of apricot, wild flowers, dry honey and brioche on nose an palate. A great aperitif or with an apricot Tarte Tatin!
