Mount Hood Pussypaws – Wildflowers of Oregon

A Mount Hood Pussypaws (Calyptridium umbellatum) sets its blossoms against the scatter of thousands of years of accumulated obsidian flakes. Many millions of these shards of obsidian litter the location, and are the byproduct of Native American stone tool manufacture.
